The concept for these two newbuild homes came about when our clients noted that there single storey bungalow spanned the width of two of their neighbours properties. We were asked to develop a design to accomodate two new build modern homes of 3Bedrooms or more to match the size and scale of the neighbourhood. The South West - North East orientation of the houses meant that they benefitted from strong afternoon sun to the front gardens which led to the proposal of partially walled front gardens allowing for private enjoyment of the late afternoon sun.  With the house facing onto a beautiful forest like garden to the rear, the gable ends where proposed to be open glazed as much as possible to celebrate the view of the densely treed neighbourhood.
